Romero frequented the booth several times at last year's parade. All the proceeds from the kissing booth support the mission of Louisiana Boxer Rescue.

The Herrington family decorated their float with a French theme because they plan to travel to France to visit an exchange student who lived with them. Their float was dedicated to Alexis and Ben's music teacher, Danielle Monique Joubert Gurt, who passed away in August from cancer.

She doesn't have a name yet, but was the only one of her litter to survive after her mother passed away. She will be up for adoption as soon as she is weened.
