Institute Events Holdings LLC of Baton Rouge purchased the property at 10423 Jefferson Highway for $722,500, said Scot Guidry of Mike Falgoust & Associates. Guidry represented the seller, Topaz of Louisiana. Bobby Smith of NAI/Latter & Blum represented the buyers. Institute Events is headed up by Keith Rush, who founded the cooking school. Topaz, which offers piping services and products to a range of industries, recently consolidated its operations in Houston. The company put up for sale its 8,000-square-foot office/warehouse and the nearly acre of land it sits on. “It’s a unique property,” Guidry said. “It’s zoned heavy commercial with no restrictions.” The Louisiana Culinary Institute has been in business at 10550 Airline Highway for about five years.
