The ninth of Saints camp was dominated by injury headlines. Drew Brees was out again, Champ Bailey was back riding a bike, and Victor Butler was nowhere to be found. And that is just the tip of it. So, expect plenty more talk today about who is and isn’t on the field. ABOUT YESTERDAY: One of the more interesting developments was that Jonathan Goodwin received some snaps at left guard and Senio Kelemete was given a handful of snaps at center. Kelemete received praise from coach Sean Payton for his performance in the absence of Ben Grubbs, who has been out of action for undisclosed reasons. ON TODAY’S AGENDA: The Saints will be in action today at 7:50 a.m. CDT and a walkthrough session at 4:30 p.m. WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The silver lining to the absence of Brees is that it allows us to take a closer look at back quarterbacks Luke McCown and Ryan Griffin. If we had to pick today, Griffin might have the inside track on the job. But there is still a lot of football to be played, and we aren’t even into the preseason yet. So, moving forward, it will be about Griffin building momentum.
