Suspect arrested in Prescott Road shooting

Baton Rouge police Tuesday afternoon arrested the man accused in the July 13 shooting on Prescott Road that left 38-year-old man fighting for his life.

Police booked Jonathan Foster, 25, 1532 Olive St., Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on counts of attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on July 13 in the 5600 block of Prescott Road, which is between North Foster Drive and Airline Highway.

It stemmed from a bottle that the victim allegedly threw at Foster during an altercation, prompting Foster to run downstairs while yelling at the victim, pull a revolver and shoot the victim in the chest.
