Jul 16, 2014 08:54 Masked bandit holds up Lafayette convenience store Masked bandit holds up Lafayette convenience store Advocate staff report July 16, 2014 Comments LAFAYETTE — Police are searching for an armed robber who was wearing a black bandana over part of his face as he held up a convenience store on Eraste Landry Road early Wednesday, then fled in a late model Chevrolet. The robbery occurred in the 1800 block of Eraste Landry Road at around 1:35 a.m., with the suspect getting away in a silver Chevrolet Impala, Lafayette police Cpl. Paul Mouton said. No one was injured. A store employee told police the robber was a black man with a handgun who wore a black shirt, blue jeans and a black bandana, Mouton said in a news release.
