The victim told sheriff’s deputies that sometime between October and November 2013, Gary C. Parrish, 37, crawled into bed with her after giving her alcohol and a sleeping pill, the arrest warrant says. She awoke with Parrish on top of her and immediately walked out of the room, the warrant says. The victim did not tell anyone until May 19 when she told a family member, the warrant says. Two people told deputies they were there when Parrish gave the victim the alcohol, but that they did not know about the sex, the warrant says. Parrish, 4979 St. Louis Road, Zachary, was booked into Parish Prison on Tuesday on sex crimes against a child. EBR undercover agent nabs Florida man A Florida man accused of sending sexually explicit messages to an East Baton Rouge sheriff’s investigator posing as a 13-year-old girl on an AOL Instant Messenger on Feb. 27 and March 9 has been arrested. Malcolm Norbert Dcosta, 62, contacted the undercover investigator and identified himself as a 15-year-old boy from Miami on Feb. 27, the arrest warrant says. Then on March 9, he contacted the same investigator using the same user name and said he was actually 18 years old. In both instances, Dcosta sent lewd messages, the warrant says. He also texted and called the investigator from his cellphone, which is how they tracked him. Dcosta, 105 Clifton Road, Hollywood, Florida, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles. Authorities book four on suspicion of DWI Authorities arrested at least four people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, booking records show. Those booked and the counts against them: Kathy Carter, 51, 6028 W. Monarch Drive, Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI, failure to maintain control and reckless operation. Alyssa Hergruder, 18, 62834 Bayou Jacob Road, Plaquemine, first-offense DWI, improper left/right turns and passing on the right. Byron Law, 45, 7547 Town South Ave., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI.
