Advocate staff report June 28, 2014 Comments Swedish construction company Skanska said Monday it has signed a contract as the lead company on a $54 million contract to renovate and expand the Patrick F. Taylor Hall building on the LSU campus. Skanska is heading a joint venture with Mapp Construction on the project. The three-story building has more than 300,000 square feet of space. The expansion will add around 129,000 square feet of classrooms, labs, offices and a new auditorium. The expansion work will begin in November. The renovation is expected to begin in January. All of the work is supposed to be done by June 2017.
