Donaldsonville man goes to jail on drug, gun counts

Assumption Parish sheriff’s narcotics agents arrested a Donaldsonville-area man early Tuesday after a search of a Belle Rose home shortly after midnight turned up illegal drugs and a gun, the sheriff said.

The narcotics agents found a pistol, $4,000 in prescription pills, cocaine, heroin and marijuana in a mobile home at 213 Klotzville Lane, Belle Rose, Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Tuesday.

He said five minors were in the home.

Jeremiah Millien, 33, 35513 Mt. Calvary Lane, Donaldsonville, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center in Napoleonville on possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, five counts of possession of an illegal drug in the presence of a juvenile, and other drug and gun counts, Waguespack said.

Deputies did not say why Millien was in the mobile home where the search occurred.

Millien’s bail had not been set by midday Tuesday.
