Other officers are Leslie Taylor Grover, Southern University, vice president; Jason MacMorran, Postlethwaite and Netterville, treasurer; and John Sills, retired from Merrill Lynch, secretary. New board members are Nnamdi Thompson, Government Consultants Inc., and Benjamin Townsend, Whitney Bank. Thomas Greckhamer, the William W. and Catherine M. Rucks professor of management in LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business, will join the editorial board of Group & Organization Management for a three-year term. The international, bimonthly journal publishes the work of scholars and professionals about management and organization theory and the implications for practitioners. Instructor Joni Nunnery Shreve has been named director of the master of science in analytics program in the LSU Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences. Shreve was the program’s assistant director and is succeeding ISDS professor Jim Van Scotter, who will remain a faculty member of the program. Nedra S. Davis, of Baton Rouge, has been named the first executive director of the Chenier Plain Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority. Davis was project manager and business development specialist for Atkins, a global engineering and design firm. The authority is a political subdivision of Louisiana that operates in Calcasieu, Cameron and Vermilion parishes through a nine-member board of commissioners, with three members representing each parish. NEW ORLEANS AREA Lauren S. Wilson has been elected president of Start the Adventure in Reading. Other officers are Carroll Bernard, vice president; Harrison Frampton, treasurer; and Nora Bilbro, secretary. New board members are Anderson Baker, Bart Dornier, Jennifer Jumonville, Christy Williams and Bruce Worley. STAIR provides free after-school tutoring in reading to lower elementary students from participating public schools in New Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines and St. Tammany parishes. Travis Tague has been named by HRI Lodging Inc. as general manager of the Hyatt French Quarter. Tague was director of operations. First Bank and Trust has named new members to its advisory board: Patrick Campbell, president of Superior Ford; Brad Roberts, senior executive at Excel Group; and Kippy Sumrall, chairman, Welcome Host.
