Deputies on Tuesday found 22 bottles of steroids valued at $3,000, more than 100 steroid capsules also worth $3,000, and a loaded handgun in addition to the testosterone powder, Lori Steele, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said in the release. Deputies booked Jason Todd Rouse, 41, of 29260 Peggy Drive, Walker, into Livingston Parish Detention Center on counts of possession with the intent to distribute steroids, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. Rouse already was suspected of distributing narcotics for about a month, Steele said.
