Lafayette woman booked in Cankton home invasion case Lafayette woman booked in Cankton home invasion case Jessica Rose-Puckett Advocate staff report June 18, 2014 Comments OPELOUSAS — The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Lafayette woman who was the last of four suspects wanted in a May 15 home invasion in Cankton. Jessica Rose-Puckett, 26, was booked Wednesday on counts of home invasion, false imprisonment with a firearm, attempted first-degree murder and criminal conspiracy. She was the last remaining suspect officials were pursuing in investigating the invasion, Capt. Megan Vizena said in a news release. Rose-Puckett is being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail, and her bond has been set at $750,000, Vizena said. The arrest was made in a joint effort with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Office. Also arrested were three Carencro men, Benneth Barras, 26, Reginald K. Francis, 27, and Shane Pomier, 28.
