Miss La. to appear on Hannity show to discuss Bergdahl comments

Miss Louisiana USA Brittany Guidry is scheduled to appear on Fox News’ Sean Hannity show tonight at 9:45 p.m. Central time, Guidry reported on her Facebook page.

She is expected to discuss, in part, her response to an interview question on Sunday night’s Miss USA live broadcast from the Baton Rouge River Center. Guidry, who finished as third runner-up, was asked about the U.S. exchange of five Taliban prisoners for American prisoner of war Bowe Bergdahl.

Her response: “I am glad that we got our guy back. However, I do not feel it is right that we subject ourselves to these acts of terrorism. I do agree with our guy being back, but, however, I do not think we should subject ourselves. Thank you.”

Her Sean Hannity interview was originally scheduled for Tuesday night but was rescheduled because of breaking news. Brittney also said she will be interviewed by radio host Laura Ingraham, but she did not say when that interview would air.

Editor’s Note: The story was updated at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, to clarify the time the interview is scheduled to air.
