Gov. Bobby Jindal said Monday afternoon that he wasn’t ready to sign legislation that would lead to killing a lawsuit filed against the oil and gas industry by a New Orleans-area levee board.

Jindal said the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office had asked to review Senate Bill 469 before he signed into law and he agreed. Jindal added his lawyers think the legislation is fine and would not undermine lawsuits filed against BP.
