Prominent D.C. lawyer to headline LSU law graduation this week Prominent D.C. lawyer to headline LSU law graduation this week Capitol News Bureau May 30, 2014 Comments Prominent Washington, D.C., attorney Robert B. Barnett, who has represented multiple presidents and other celebrities, will be the featured speaker at LSU’s Law Center graduation Friday. “He is a trusted counselor to dozens of globally-known clients on their most sensitive matters. It’s a great honor to welcome Bob as our 2014 graduation speaker,” LSU Law Center Chancellor Jack Weiss said in a news release. The Law Center is expected to confer about 200 degrees during the ceremony slated for 9:30 a.m. in LSU’s Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Tickets are not required. Barnett, a partner at Williams & Connolly LLP, has topped Washingtonian magazine’s list of “Washington’s Best Lawyers” and been named one of the 100 most powerful people in the entertainment industry by Entertainment Weekly magazine. Clients have included Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, as well as Hillary Rodham Clinton, former Prime Minister Tony Blair, The Prince of Wales.
