Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, sheriff’s chief of criminal operations, said the man, Jiterrance Brown, 25, 38389 La. 929, lot 25, once had a relationship with the woman and still lives in the same trailer park as she does, Lynch’s Trailer Park on La. 929 in Prairieville. The woman, Monique Delmore, 30, 38389 La. 929, Lot M2, had Edgar Westbrook, 41, only identified as an Ascension Parish resident, over for a visit and Delmore was walking Westbrook out of the mobile home early Tuesday when Brown met them, Webre said in a news release. Gun shots soon followed, Webre said. Delmore was shot in her side while Westbrook was hit in the arm, Webre said. Delmore and Westbrook were taken to an area hospital and remain in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon, Webre said. Brown was arrested shortly after the shooting. He was booked Tuesday into Ascension Parish Detention Center near Donaldsonville and is awaiting the setting of bail.
