An unknown black male subject entered through the front door and approached the cashier at the front counter. The suspect then raised his shirt and showed the cashier a handgun, as he demanded money from the register. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the register, the suspect fled the business through the front door. The suspect is described as a black male around 5â9â, medium to large build, wearing a white t-shirt with black shorts and a black cloth covering his head Advocate staff report May 23, 2014 Comments Baton Rouge police were still searching late Thursday for a man who robbed a Circle K on Plank Road at gunpoint. The robbery happened about 4:45 p.m. Thursday at the Circle K on the corner of Plank Road and Shelley Street just south of Evangeline Street, said Cpl. Don Coppola Jr., a police spokesman. A man walked into the store, approached the cashier and lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun before demanding money and fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, Coppola said. Police describe the robber as a black man about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium-to-large build. He wore a white T-shirt, black shorts and a black cloth covering his head during the robbery. No one was injured in the robbery, Coppola said.
