Feliciana Advocate staff report June 24, 2014 Comments A Virginia man remained in West Feliciana Parish jail Friday, accused earlier this week of a fourth offense of driving while intoxicated, West Feliciana sheriff’s deputies said. Charles T. Moorehouse, 38, of Covington, Virginia, was arrested along Highway 61 near Bains Road about 11 p.m. April 29 after he was pulled over by deputies who suspected him of drunk driving, sheriff’s spokeswoman Erin Foster said in a news release. Moorehouse was taken into police custody after he refused to take a Breathalyzer test. Foster said a background check revealed Moorehouse had three previous DWI charges dating back to 2005 in Alabama and Florida. Moorehouse also had an outstanding warrant in Mobile, Alabama, Foster said. Moorehouse was booked into the parish jail for fourth-offense driving while intoxicated, careless operation of a motor vehicle and driving without a license. Foster said he is being held on a $120,000 bond.
