Police search for 2 ‘persons of interest’ in Ethel slayings Police search for 2 ‘persons of interest’ in Ethel slayings Ben Wallace| email@example.com May 03, 2014 Comments . Investigators on Thursday refused to release details about the double homicide of an Ethel couple while also asking for the public’s help in locating two “persons of interest” in the investigation. State Police identified Armando Reyes Diaz and Dulce Maria Funez, no ages or addresses available, as the two people investigators are looking for to find out more information about the slayings of Eddie Hall, 53, and his wife, Connie Hall, 51. They were found dead inside their Ethel home Sunday afternoon. Authorities, including Trooper First Class Jared Sandifer, a State Police spokesman, confirmed Thursday that detectives are treating the deaths of the married couple as a double homicide. However, authorities refused to release any new information in the killings, most notably, how the Halls died. Diaz and Funez, and maybe a boy younger than 10, are believed to be traveling in a white, 2009 Nissan Versa with Louisiana license plate WMH918. The Nissan has dark-tinted windows, black wheels and a small white sticker on the lower left rear glass, Sandifer said. “Our investigators want to find these two people and talk to them,” said Sgt. Kevin Garig, a spokesman for the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office, adding that Diaz and Funez are not related to the Halls. Garig said divulging any other information about the reasons detectives want to speak to the two people or providing any new information about the circumstances surrounding the killings could complicate the investigation. “Right now we’re focused on finding those people,” Garig said. State Police is assisting the Sheriff’s Office with the homicide investigation. Attempts to reach East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Talmadge Bunch were unsuccessful Thursday night. Also, attempts to reach family members of the Halls were unsuccessful on Thursday. Some family members declined to speak to a reporter on Monday afternoon outside the Halls’ home at 4077 Lillian Lane, a gravel road that branches off W.T. Hall Road in Ethel.
