Railroad donates big to Knock Knock Children’s Museum Railroad donates big to Knock Knock Children’s Museum Advocate staff report April 10, 2014 Comments The Knock Knock Children’s Museum has received a $100,000 donation from CN railroad to help fund learning zones at the long-awaited museum slated for Baton Rouge’s City Park. A community-wide campaign has been underway to fund the 18 to 20 southeast Louisiana-themed activity spaces that will serve as interactive exhibits. Last month, Dow Louisiana Operations gave $200,000 for a “Fish Tales” learning zone. Construction of the museum, which will be on Dalrymple Drive near Interstate 10, is scheduled to begin this summer. The volunteer nonprofit museum board has raised more than $6 million for the 30,000-square-foot facility, which has been in the works for more than a decade. The East Baton Rouge Parish Recreation and Park Commission is leading the construction process.
