“I was realistic in what I thought I could accomplish in such a short period of time. A lot of what I’ve been able to do has involved working with the people and the City Council.” Lynn robertson, interim mayor
GONZALES — A fistfight broke out between two girls, who have been in a conflict over a social media website, when they bumped into each other in a hallway at Central Middle School on Monday morning.
By the end of the fight, six girls, friends of the two girls, joined the fight, and two teachers received minor injuries when they tried to break it up, Ascension Parish Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said.
The two girls who began fighting were booked into the Assumption Parish Youth Detention Center each on counts of disturbing the peace, simple battery and simple battery of a teacher. The other four girls were arrested and released to their parents, according to the Sheriff’s Office, which didn’t release the ages of the six girls.
