Lloyd “Teddy” Johnson Jr. opened Teddy's Juke Joint in Zachary on Jan. 15, 1979. Over the years, the bar became a regular destination for blues greats such as Henry Gray, Raful Neal and the Neal family, Lil Jimmy Reed, Chris Thomas King and many others. Teddy's Juke Joint is now a staple for blues in the Baton Rouge area and is known in over 18 countries.
