Ragin’ Cajuns fans are snapping up tickets to attend the NCAA basketball tournament on Friday, when the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will be dancing for the first time since 2005. The Cajuns, seeded 14th in the West region, will face third-seeded Creighton at 2:10 p.m. Friday in San Antonio.

“As of right now, we have about 65 tickets left in our original allotment,” UL-Lafayette athletic ticket manager Matthew Casbon said at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. “Our original allotment was 350 tickets.”

Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation donors were given first priority to buy tickets in the school’s allotment, he said.

Tickets can be ordered for pickup at the Cajundome until 5 p.m. Wednesday. Casbon said he hopes to order more tickets from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, but he’s making no guarantees.
