LSU Tigers join rousing Irish parade for St. Patrick’s Day

The Golden Band from Tigerland roared through the streets of Dublin on Monday as the band’s 325 members marched in the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Festival Parade. With clear skies and temperatures in the low 50s, the band blasted out the LSU fight songs to enthusiastic crowds that lined the streets from Parnell Square, across the River Liffey and ending at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

LSU joined other bands from U.S., Ireland, Estonia and Germany in the parade. Dublin has hosted the festival every year since 1996, and it has grown from a one-day event to a rousing Irish party that lasts four or five days.
