Police booked Jaleel Bridges, 18, of DeQuincy; Rodney Briggs, 20, of Kentwood; and Deylan Jones, 19, of Mesquite, Texas, into Parish Prison on counts of attempted armed robbery and home invasion, booking records show. The three, along with a fourth student, are accused of breaking into a Ulysses Jones Hall dorm room the night of Feb. 26 and demanding clothes and money from the dorm room’s resident at gunpoint, according to an affidavit of probable cause. The resident told the intruders all his clothes were in his girlfriend’s room in “Building 200,” the affidavit says, so he guided the quartet there, intentionally following a path monitored by video cameras. When the victim entered the girlfriend’s room, she shut the door on the four men and called authorities. The other man in the attempted robbery, Kailin Sylvain, no age or address available, is still being sought by authorities, said Ed Pratt, a Southern University spokesman. Bridges, Briggs and Jones have been “emergency suspended pending the outcome of their case,” Pratt said. He said Sylvain also could be suspended upon arrest. BR man, 46, accused in rape of 4-year-old Baton Rouge police arrested a 46-year-old man Thursday accused of raping a 4-year-old girl on Saturday at a North 49th Street residence. Police booked Troy Dennis Lee, 46, 18733 Samuels Road, Lot 245, Zachary, into Parish Prison on counts of aggravated rape and sexual battery, booking records show. Lee is accused of molesting the child on one occasion inside a bathroom at the North 49th Street residence, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Authorities book seven on suspicion of DWI Authorities arrested at least seven people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday, booking records show. Those booked and the counts against them: Delon Beauchamp, 34, 23560 Plank Road, Zachary, first-offense DWI, reckless operation, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, failure to maintain control and hit-and-run.
