2 killed, 2 injured in I-55 head on crash 2 killed, 2 injured in I-55 head on crash Louisiana State Police logo The associated press March 11, 2014 Comments MANCHAC — State police say two drivers were killed when a car traveling the wrong way on Interstate 55 struck another car head on in St. John Parish. Trooper Melissa Matey said Brandon Craig, of Franklinton, was driving on I-55 north in the southbound lanes. Matey said Craig’s car collided head on with a car driven by Conrad Hebert, of Tickfaw. A third car traveling behind Hebert attempted to avoid the crash and hit the guardrail. Craig was pronounced dead on the scene and two passengers in his car were taken to nearby hospitals with moderate injuries. Hebert was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the third car had minor injuries, but refused medical treatment at the scene.
