Police on Wednesday released surveillance video showing a giant inflatable duck in the back of a truck traveling south on Johnston Street — believed to be the same 14-foot tall yellow duck stolen from a parking lot in the 2700 block of Johnston Street in the early morning hours of Feb. 27. The duck is owned by the Lafayette Boys and Girls Club’s and used to promote their annual “Great Acadiana Running of the Ducks” fundraiser. Police are asking anyone with information on the owner of the truck, which is believed to be a dark-colored Chevrolet Silverado, or the whereabouts of the duck to call (337) 232-TIPS.
