Walk-On’s closes Coursey location Walk-On’s closes Coursey location BY TIMOTHY BOONE| firstname.lastname@example.org Feb. 28, 2014 Comments Walk-On’s, the local sports bar chain, has closed its Coursey Boulevard location in anticipation of the opening of its Towne Center location in the spring. Officials with Last In Concepts, which owns Walk-On’s, said the Towne Center location is set to open March 31. When Walk-On’s announced last month it would move into the former Mugshots building in Towne Center, the chain said the Coursey location would remain open. Officials said the deal wasn’t in place for a new tenant to move into the Walk-On’s location on Coursey, so they didn’t want to discuss a potential closing. Santa Fe Cattle Co. is set to open a restaurant in the Coursey location that had been occupied by Walk-On’s later this spring. Santa Fe is based in Baton Rouge and has 20 restaurants across Louisiana, Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi. Last In Concepts operates Walk-On’s in New Orleans and Lafayette, along with the first location on Burbank Drive in Baton Rouge. The chain announced an ownership change earlier this month that will allow Walk-On’s to expand across Louisiana and outside the state.
