Democratic strategist and Louisiana native James Carville is Fox News’ newest contributor.

Carville will appear across various programming offering political commentary on the news of the day, according to a news release from Fox.

Carville is a political science professor at Tulane University. He is also the author of several books, including the most recent one published earlier this month, “Love & War: Twenty Years, Three Presidents, Two Daughters and One Louisiana Home,” which he co-authored with his wife, Republican strategist Mary Matalin. Carville earned bachelor of arts and juris doctorate degrees from LSU.
