Police have not shut down the spillway westbound, but they are monitoring the situation, said Trooper First Class Melissa Matey, a State Police Troop B spokeswoman. State police are investigating three separate crashes that happened near mile marker 212, about three miles past the U.S. 51 exit. None of the crashes resulted in serious injury or death, Matey said. The crashes resulted in stopped traffic for about an hour beginning around 7 p.m.
