One person died and another was ejected from a pickup in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night on Plank Road near the Coca-Cola plant.
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. at Plank Road and Robique Road when a Toyota GTS traveling northbound collided with a Ford pickup turning into the Coca-Cola plant, said Trooper 1st Class Jared Sandifer, a State Police spokesman.
The driver of the Toyota, whose identity was not released, died from injuries sustained in the crash, which shut down Plank Road northbound for several hours. The driver of the pickup wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the crash. He suffered moderate injuries, Sandifer said.
Investigators could not determine which vehicle had the right of way. But Sandifer said citations are possible once the investigation is complete.
