University of Oklahoma: No evidence of shots fired, no injuries reported

NORMAN, Okla. — Officials at the University of Oklahoma, after an earlier report of a campus shooting, say they have found no evidence of shots fired on campus nor anyone injured.

Just before noon, there was a report of gunshots on campus with the school posting a notice on its website Wednesday that people should avoid Gould Hall. A notice sent by its Twitter account said: “Seek immediate shelter in place.”

The university is located in Norman, about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City.
