Baton Rouge food blogger wins Taste Award

Baton Rouge food blogger and radio host Jay D. Ducote, of biteandbooze.com, and New Orleans’ Kid Chef Eliana, Eliana de Las Casas, took home Taste Awards on Jan. 16.

The Annual Tasty Awards are handed out by the Academy of Media Tastemakers and recognize the year’s best achievements in food, fashion, home and lifestyle programs on television and radio, in film, online and at live interactive events.

Ducote won for Best Food or Drink Radio Broadcast for the Bite and Booze Radio Show, broadcast from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturdays on Talk 107.3 FM, and also available as a podcast on iTunes.

De Las Casas, 13, won the Outstanding Kids Award for her Cool Kids Cook radio show on VoiceAmerica Kids.

Emeril Lagasse, owner of Emeril’s New Orleans, Emeril’s Delmonico and NOLA Restaurant in New Orleans, received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
