Martin Luther King Jr. observances

The following is a list of events scheduled to take place Wednesday in honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.


DR. MLK BLACKOUT POETRY: 3 p.m., Greenwell Springs Road Regional Library Branch, 11300 Greenwell Springs Road. Teens can create poetry that focuses on rearranging words to create a different meanings using the “I Have a Dream” speech. Refreshments will be served. Call (225) 274-4470.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. STORY/CRAFT: 4:30 p.m., Eden Park Branch Library, 5131 Greenwell Springs Road. Children ages 3 to 11 can learn about Dr. King and craft their dreams. Call (225) 354-7060.
