U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu has again outraised her chief opponent in the Senate race, bringing in nearly $1.4 million in the most fundraising quarter.
Landrieu’s campaign announced Wednesday the Democratic incumbent’s figures for the period that ran from October through December. The senator has nearly $6.4 million in her campaign account for her re-election bid.
A day earlier, Republican U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy announced that he raised $1 million for the same quarter for his Senate race campaign. The congressman’s campaign said he had nearly $4.2 million cash on hand.
The election is set for Nov. 4.
At least two other Republicans have said they plan to run for the Senate seat: state Rep. Paul Hollis and retired Air Force Col. Rob Maness. Their latest fundraising totals haven’t been released.
