Kody Lorenzo Huff, 21, 1418 Swan Ave., Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on counts of armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping, according to a warrant for his arrest. The victim was riding a bicycle about 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 19 on North Carrollton Street, when he was asked by two men inside a vehicle if he’d like to buy some marijuana. When the man declined the offer, Huff’s accomplice, who is not identified in the warrant, got out and smacked the bicycle rider in the face with a gun and forced him into the vehicle, the warrant says. Huff held a gun to the man’s head as they drove to a parking lot, where Huff demanded, “Give me everything you got!” according to the warrant. The victim handed over two cellphones and a wallet before Huff’s accomplice again struck the man in the face and pushed him out of the vehicle. Investigators later recovered the items in the back seat of a vehicle matching a description given by the victim, the warrant says. Police search for Subway robber Baton Rouge police are looking for a man who robbed a Sherwood Forest Boulevard Subway on Saturday afternoon at gunpoint. A light-skinned black man, described as 5 feet 3 to 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 160 pounds, walked into the Subway in the 1800 block of South Sherwood Forest Boulevard about 2 p.m. Saturday carrying a handgun and demanding money, said Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a Baton Rouge police spokesman. The man, who had a goatee and one gold tooth, wore black pants, a white T-shirt and a black button-up shirt during the robbery, McKneely said. The robber fled the eatery on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, McKneely said. Man, 29, accused of beating two women Baton Rouge police on Friday arrested a 29-year-old man accused of beating different women on at least two separate occasions in 2013. Police booked Brandon Maurice Graham, of 1860 Boulevard De Province, Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on counts of aggravated second-degree battery, domestic abuse battery, theft and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, according to arrest documents. Most recently, in late November, Graham is accused of striking a woman in the face as she was driving after he looked through her phone and became angry at what he found, according to an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office affidavit of probable cause. Earlier, in late May, Graham is accused of striking a different woman in the head with a pistol, dragging her around and repeatedly striking her in the face inside an apartment at the Sable Chase Apartments at Sherwood, according to a police warrant for his arrest. Seven booked on suspicion of DWI in EBR Authorities arrested at least seven people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish — including a Ponchatoula man on a sixth-offense DWI — and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, booking records show. Those booked and the counts against them: Sherwood Taylor, 61, 42714 Youkum Road, Ponchatoula, sixth-offense DWI, reckless operation and driver’s license suspended/revoked.
