Ronkeisha Lavine, 30, stabbed the victim “with a sharp object” at a home in the 100 block of Roy Street at around 2 a.m. Wednesday, Cpl. Paul Mouton said in a news release.

The victim, a 31-year-old man whose identity has not been released, was admitted to the hospital with a stab would in the chest.

Mouton said Lavine brought the victim to a Lafayette hospital where officials notified Lafayette police at around 6 a.m.
