A four-vehicle crash Tuesday night on La. 67, south of La. 64 in East Baton Rouge Parish, left one woman dead and three other people injured, a State Police spokesman said.
Details about the crash are scarce, but State Police spokesman Trooper First Class Jared Sandifer said Patricia W. Titus, 51, of Baton Rouge, died from injuries she sustained when her 2012 Toyota Camry was struck by a 2004 GMC Yukon shortly after 10:30 p.m.
Troopers do not know what caused the crash, Sandifer said.
After the initial collision, a 2010 Honda CRV and 2003 Toyota Camry both crashed into the other two vehicles, Sandifer said.
The drivers of the Yukon, CRV and 2003 Camry were all taken to hospitals with moderate to severe injuries, Sandifer said.
Troopers are still investigating if impairment was a factor in the crash and if the drivers were wearing seat belts, Sandifer said.
