Wan Kim, chief executive officer of Smoothie King, is the keynote speaker. He will discuss the company’s expansion and move to Jefferson Parish, as well as recharging the brand. Chambers officials also will review accomplishments, preview 2014 plans and recognize new leaders. Individual tickets are $50 for chamber members and $60 for future members. The discount merchandiser’s 16,000-square-foot prototype store has a new layout, lighting, shelving, aisle widths and signage and features an expanded food selection that doubles traditional fred’s Super Dollar food offerings. The store, which carries more than 2,200 items for $1, also has a pharmacy with a drive-through window. Store hours are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday.
