It is less than than 20 minutes away from the start of the game. The teams are still in their respective locker rooms. Still no word of the playing status of injured UL-Layette quarterback Terrance Broadway (arm).

Update 8:08 p.m.

Both teams have run onto the field with fireworks and pyrotechnic displays. UL-Lafayette won the toss, but deferred to the second half. Tulane will receive.

Update 8:14 p.m.

Broadway starts at quarterback after Tulane has a three-and-out on its first offensive series.

Update 8:22 p.m.

Replays show that UL-Lafayetter running back Elijah McGuire scores on a 27-yard touchdown run 10:40 remaining in the quarter. The extra-point kick is good. Drive was six plays, 65 yards in 3:17. 7-0 (UL-Lafayette)

Devin Powell starts his first series at quarterback for Tulane. Powell and Montana are alternating series.

Update 8:41 p.m.

Tulane receiver Ryan Grant throws an interception on a reverse pass for the game's first turnover with 4:51 left in the first quarter. UL-Lafayette's Sean Thomas returns the interception 15 yards to the 21 yard line.

Alonzo Harris runs up the middle for a 15-yard touchdown run to complete a six-play, 73-yard drive. Extra point is good. Extra point kick is good. 14-0 (UL-Lafayette).

Corey Trim intercepts a pass by Montana and returns it 82 yards for a touchdown with 12:31 remaining in the first half. Extra kick is good. 21-0 (UL-Lafayette)

Tulane running back Orleans Darkwa scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 3:55 remaining. Extra point is good. 21-7 (UL-Lafayette)

Tulane cornerback Jordan Sullen goes down with an injury and the cart and stretcher are brought out. Sullen gets help from trainers to stand up. He is placed on a seat in a cart and taken off the field.

Update 10:48 p.m.

Darkwa scored on a 22 yard touchdown run. The score, his third rushing touchdown of the game, set a New Orleans Bowl record for most rushing touchdowns in a game. The extra point kick is good. (21-21)

Update 11:15 p.m.

Ragin Cajuns' placekicker Hunter Stover hit a 27-yard field goal with 9:56 remaining in the game. It was the first kick of his college career. It was the team's first field goal since Oct. 27.
