Police finds marijuana in search of shoe shine business

Police confiscated 105 grams of marijuana and more than $200 in cash while searching a Main Street shoeshine business Wednesday.

Officers booked Warren “Worm” Montgomery, 50, 1312 Johnson, with possession with intent to distribute marijuana following the Wednesday search of Hebrards Shoe Shine and Repair, 1434 Main St., Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps said in a news release.

Officers were using an active search warrant to investigate the business.

Montgomery first denied he had any drugs at the business but later admitted there were several baggies of marijuana stashed in a black sack behind the store’s glass counter, Knaps said.

Officer found 12 baggies of marijuana before booking Montgomery.
