New Orleans misses out on College Football Playoff championship games

Local sources have confirmed an ESPN report that New Orleans has lost out to Glendale, Ariz. for the 2016 College Football Playoff national championship game.
Tampa, Fla., which was also bidding for the 2016 game, will receive the 2017. New Orleans did not bid for that game
The Sugar Bowl had played host to four title games in the BCS era bit under the new setup cities did the bidding.
New Orleans will still host a semifinal game next season.
