NEW ORLEANS — A federal grand jury indicted a Ponchatoula man on Friday on charges of receiving and distributing child pornography, including images of a 6-year-old girl, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Orleans said.
Robert Eugene Swan, 51, was indicted on a count each of sexual exploitation of children, distribution of child pornography and receipt of child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Orleans.
Swan is accused of coercing a 6-year-old girl between an unknown date and June 25, 2012, into sexually explicit conduct and filming the incidents, the news release said.
Swan also was charged with receiving and distributing child pornography videos and images.
Swan previously has been convicted of lewd and lascivious assault of a minor in Escambia County in Florida, which means his sentence could be increased if convicted in this case, the news release said.
