Two Baton Rouge residents were indicted Thursday in the Jan. 20 shooting death of a 33-year-old man on Hooper Road.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Denise Harris-Jenkins, 41, and Calvin Kenneth Lattimer, 21, both of 10814 Greencrest Drive, with second-degree murder in the killing of Paul Wright.
Baton Rouge police have said the three argued in the road before the shooting occurred about 4 a.m. in the 4600 block of Hooper.
Harris-Jenkins and Lattimer face mandatory sentences of life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder. The grand jury also charged Lattimer with obstruction of justice.
The case has been assigned to state District Judge Lou Daniel.
