BRPD seeking pair in attempted McDonald’s robbery

Baton Rouge police are searching for two men who tried to rob a McDonald’s restaurant early Tuesday.

The robbers entered the restaurant at 5224 Florida Blvd., at 12:20 a.m. armed with handguns and demanded personal items from the employees, said Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a police spokesman.

They were unable to get any money and left empty handed before police arrived, McKneely said.

The first robber is described as a slim, light-skinned black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall who wore black pants, a black hoodie, a black bandana and black rectangular-rimmed prescription glasses, McKneely said.

The other robber is described as a slim, dark-skinned black man, about 6 feet tall who wore a black hoodie and black pants, McKneely said.
