For the Baton Rouge area this Halloween, the best costume choices might be Mary Poppins or Columbo.
Umbrellas and raincoats could come in handy for trick-or-treaters tonight.
“The good news is it looks like the worst of the weather should be through the area before trick-or-treat time,” said forecaster Danielle Manning, of the National Weather Service office in Slidell. “The bad news is it is going to be wet.”
Thunderstorms were expected to arrive in the Capital City between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., followed by light rain.
“The worst should be through in less than a hour,” she said, but the light rain that follows is a different story. “It doesn’t look like the back end of it is moving real quickly, so the rain could last for several hours.”
