StudentAdviser.com says “LSU dedicates its LSUStudents Twitter account to all things student. Daily tweets keep students up-to-date on the latest academic and social happenings of day-to-day student life. Geaux Tigers!” The Top 100 schools use social media to give students insights into the schools’ culture, personality, and DNA, according to Dean Tsouvalas, editor-in-chief of StudentAdvisor.com. This helps students determine the right fit for them beyond college rankings and marketing. Tulane University ranked No. 83 for TruTU, the student-run amalgamation for all things social media at Tulane—from Instagram to student-made videos to their virtual tour of Cribs-style dorm rooms rules. LSU ranked No. 8 in last year’s rankings. Tulane was No. 72. The other members of this year’s Top 10, in order, are Harvard University; Stanford University; Johns Hopkins University; Yale University; Duke University; Princeton University; Full Sail University; University of Oregon; and Ohio State University.
