ZACHARY — A missing 16-year-old Zachary girl has been found and two men arrested and accused of luring her to Lafayette using the Internet as well as sending and receiving online photos of a sexual nature with her.
Ryeland Martin Papillion, 19, 1015 Thompson Williams Road, Arnaudville, and Jeffrey Michael Brasseaux, 18, 628 Gertrude Drive, St. Martinville, were each booked Monday with indecent behavior with a juvenile, pornography involving juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor, according to warrants for their arrest.
The girl was reported missing Monday by one of her parents, Zachary police Sgt. Johnny Dillon said.
Dillion said the girl, who was not injured, was returned home safely.
According to the warrants, the girl was found after her cellphone was tracked Monday to an area on La. 19 in Baker.
Phone calls and text messages were monitored by investigators, and with assistance from the state Attorney General’s Office’s High Tech Crime Unit, police tracked one of the phone numbers to the accused men, Dillon said.
Police saw that the text messages and photos exchanged between the girl and the men were of a sexual nature, Dillon said.
Dillon said the girl was eventually found in a home in the Lafayette area.
