The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office and Law Enforcement Against Drugs Task Force recently arrested five people on multiple drug-related counts, Sheriff Brett Stassi said Tuesday.
Terrance Coleman, 31, 33220-B Leona St., White Castle, was arrested on Sept. 13 while authorities were attempting search his home.
Stassi said Coleman tried to evade deputies by hopping his car as LEAD agents pulled up in his driveway to conduct the search.
Authorities saw Coleman discard two bags of marijuana from his vehicle while police where in pursuit, Stassi said in a news release.
Coleman was booked into the parish jail for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and aggravated flight from an officer.
Three more White Castle men were arrested Sept. 19 and booked on possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, Stassi said.
Malik Jones, 24; Robert Greene, 21; and Jonathon Cain, 21, were apprehended by patrol officers in Seymourville, the sheriff said.
All three men, who lived at 58111 Barrow St., White Castle, had previously been arrested on the same charges in April.
Jodi Corbin, 39, 516 S. River Rd., Port Allen, was arrested and booked into the parish jail on Sept. 21 for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute Schedule 3 narcotics, Stassi said.
