Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating what they described as the “possible drowning” of a 16-month-old boy in Denham Springs Saturday afternoon.
Lori Steele, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office, said the incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Lafourche Lane, no further address provided, and that foul play is not suspected. She said the child was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Steele declined to provide further details Saturday evening, including where the possible drowning happened. She said no more information on the incident will be released this weekend.
