French Settlement’s precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted, announced Billy Edrngton III, president of the French Settlement Water Co.
He made the announcement in an email Friday morning after being notified by the state that water test turned out OK.
It was the second such advisory issued in the French Settlement area within a month.
The latest advisory resulted after a water main between two wells broke Wednesday, causing the wells to drain quickly and lose a high amount of pressure. The crack also caused some French Settlement residents to lose water supply.
Boil advisories have to be issued when water pressure dips too low.
